In detail

The Deep Pot is 11 in across, with a deep, rounded body and two loop handles. It is the pot for soups and stews, a big pot of pasta, a chili that feeds you twice.

Inside, the honeycomb texture runs down the wall to the base; the outside is polished. Brown the onions in the bottom, pour in the stock, and watch it through the Glass Lid made for it, sold separately.

Two loop handles, so you lift it with both hands, oven mitts on, and carry it to the table.

Looking after it

Care

  • Let it cool down before washing; never put a hot pan in cold water.
  • Wash by hand with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. For stuck-on food, soak it in warm water, then use a Coil Scrubber on the inside only.
  • Dry it right away with a soft towel to keep water marks off the polished outside.

Step by step

How to use it

  1. Before the first use, wash it in warm soapy water and dry it.

  2. Brown onions or meat over medium heat.

  3. Add your liquid and bring it to a gentle boil.

  4. Turn the heat down and put the lid on to simmer.

  5. The handles get hot: always lift the pot with oven mitts, with both hands.

Questions

Before you order

Something else? Write to us from our contact page. We reply within 2 business days.

How much does it hold?

We will publish the capacity once the maker confirms it in writing. It is 11 in across with a deep, rounded body, sized for a pot of soup, a stew or pasta.

Which lid fits it?

In the Glass Lid Fits picker, choose "11 in · Deep Pot". Each lid is made for one pan, so pick the one named after the Deep Pot.

Can I cook pasta in it?

Yes. Bring the water to a boil with the lid on, take the lid off before the pasta goes in, and stir now and then. Drain it with oven mitts, tipping the pot away from you.

Deep Pot or Wide Pan?

The Deep Pot is for anything with a lot of liquid: soups, stews, pasta, chili. The Wide Pan is shallow, for rice dishes and braises you brown in one layer and serve from the pan.

How do shipping and returns work?

Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate delivery charge. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days, then take 7 to 12 business days in transit, so allow about 8 to 15 business days from order confirmation. We deliver to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Import duties and customs fees are paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for any, contact us and we will cover it in full. Unused items in their original condition and packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Because they touch food, pans, pots, lids, boards, bowls and utensils that have been used for cooking or food, and opened Coil Scrubbers, cannot be returned for a change of mind. A product that arrives defective, damaged or wrong, or shows a defect within those 30 days, is replaced or refunded, even if it has been used. A broken glass lid must not be mailed back: send us photos and we replace or refund it without a return. Return shipping for a change of mind is paid by the customer; we send the return address by e-mail, and it may be outside the United States. For a defective, damaged or wrong item, we pay it. You can cancel at no charge until your order ships.
